Recently, we took grand daughter katlyn with us to the peach farm in SC. She is 10 years old. Just as we got out of the van, here comes a little mexican boy that was working there, all smiles, getting up in her face speaking all in spanish. He was her size, but I'm sure older. He was probably hoping she could understand spanish. The look on her face showed a state of total shock, with mouth wide open and her big eyes blared, she said," I DON'T KNOW A WORD YOU ARE SAYING'. He grabbed a big peach and cut it in half for her, then grabbed a big pear and gave her some of it. As we started to leave, I told her to wave, she suprised me by doing just that. I think she made his day. I told her on way home that mexicans really did go for blonds and I'm glad he didn't know where we lived. We had some laughs about it on way home.-
That's my story and I'm stickin' to it!

We decided to go out to eat tonight since it was too hot to cook. You know you're getting old when you sink your teeth in a steak and they stay there! WHAT A LIFE!!!

Older We Get
Ever notice the older we get the more we're like computers. We start out with lots of memory and drive, then we become outdated and eventually have to get our parts replaced.

HOT, HOT & HOT
It's so hot here, this morning when I went outside a chicken had laid an egg that was already boiled, hee, hee. just kidding, but it sure is hot here. I've been outside all morning pouring some water on the figs, grape vines, & blueberry bushes, just to keep them from dying, too many flowers to even think about watering.
